Mr. Omar Hisham Al-Hosari was appointed Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation by virtue of Presidential Decree No. /136/ of 2025, issued on July 22, 2025. On December 29, 2025, Presidential Decree No. /297/ of 2025 was issued, promoting him to the rank of Minister and appointing him Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport in the Syrian Arab Republic.
